I was looking up at the sky on a sunny day and noticed the vapor trails of jets that had crossed the sky. They went in every direction. The planes were long gone, traveling at their exceptional rates of speed, but the vapor trails remained; they lingered and even spread out before they finally disappeared.
The jets fly across the sky and the trail begins as a small stream coming from the engines, but then that vapor begin to enlarge and grow into what might even appear as a stretched out cloud. By then the jet is out of sight, only a vapor remains.
It causes a simple prayer, “Lord, may my presence bring love and encouragement. And when others have left my presence may a vapor of influence remain to brighten their days. If any good comes, may it be to your glory and your praise, for it is your presence and your love that began the good work.” (Philippians 1:6 and 2:13)
